The Adult Day Program at Bob’s Place has been designed to provide enrichment and connection to participants in our safe, comfortable, and professionally staffed short-term respite care space in Kawartha Lakes. The program’s small group format and carefully planned activities give participants the chance to build genuine connections and have fun while feeding their creativity, exercising their memory, stretching their body and feeding their spirits—and bellies! Each group is led by two or more Bob’s Place caregivers to ensure your loved one has the support they need to enjoy each day safely and completely.

A Day Program Designed To Deliver Enrichment And Connection
Our Adult Day Program is about more than fun and games—although we do have plenty of each. The goal of the program is to provide adults of all ages and stages of wellness the opportunity to improve their quality of life with carefully planned activities and social connection. They meet twice weekly for four weeks and, with the guidance of their group leaders, are taken through a day of varied activities and shared meal and snack times designed to build community and engage the body, mind, memory, and senses.
Each week of a four-week session is planned so that activities align with a theme ranging from “Music and Movement” to “Seasons and Nature.” Every day, participants will enjoy activities drawn from no less than three of our five core recreational pillars to provide as much variety and balance as possible.

In addition to enriching activities, participants in the Bob’s Place Adult Day Program are placed into small groups of six to eight people and paired with two or more dedicated Bob’s Place caregiver staff. Being part of a consistent group allows for personal connection, support and celebration to happen naturally as participants get to know one another better week after week. At Bob’s Place, we believe that community and connection go hand in hand.
