After struggling to find reliable, transparent care for her father, Bob, Kelly Murphy turned frustration into fuel and founded Purple House Services. Together with her team of PSWs and RNs, Purple House Services has been delivering the highest-quality care to clients and families of all ages in the comfort of home. After a long process of dreaming, planning and building, Purple House Services is ready to take the next step and open the doors to Bob’s Place: Kawartha Lakes’ newest respite care space offering short-term respite care.
A Home Away From Home for Your Loved Ones In Kawartha Lakes
Located at 26 Ridgewood Road in Kawartha Lakes, Bob’s Place is a 10-room, secure short-term respite care space with flexible care options for your loved one. Our exceptional team of RNs and PSWs are here 24/7 and has the skills and experience needed to care for residents of all ages with a wide range of needs, including dementia, Alzheimer’s, and transitional care.

On Sunday, December 14, 2025, you and your loved ones are invited to attend Bob’s Place Open House. The doors will be open to the public from 10 AM to 2 PM. This is your chance to explore the space, meet some of our dedicated staff and enjoy a selection of snacks prepared by our own Chef David.
During the open house, you can:
View the communal spaces where residents and guests will socialize, relax and eat
Explore the 10 resident rooms where your loved one can stay under the care of our PSWs and RNs
Meet the Purple House Services team and ask them your questions
Greet Chef David, Bob’s Place resident culinary expert
Feel what it’s like to find a home away from home for your loved one
